iRemit joined that 32nd Philippine Intercity Basketball of North America or PIBNA. This is an annual tournament that aims to bring sportsmanship, unity and camaraderie among Filipinos in Canada and the United States by means of playing basketball.

The PIBNA tournament was held last August 30 with at least 16 basketball teams from different American and Canadian cities as participants. There were also approximately 1,500 attendees composed of the volunteers and spectators who witnessed the event.

The event posed another great opportunity for iRemit to promote its different remittance services such as iRemit Shop N Pay card, iCredit (credit to any bank), iNotify (notify to pay), iDeliver (door to door), iPay (SSS, Philhealth and Pag-IBIG) and the Call and Click remittance services. The iRemit team also gave away free eco bags and flyers to all event participants.
