I-Remit Global Remittance and Filipinos in Switzerland joined the commemoration of the Philippine Independence Day, which was presented by the Philippine Embassy in Switzerland. The event was held at the Swissotel in Zurich on May 5, 2010, headed by Her Excellency Ambassador Maria Theresa Lazaro.

Around 500 guests coming from different places in Switzerland attended the celebration. These includes Philippine Ambassador to the United Nations – His Excellency Evan Garcia, Consul General to the United Nations – Honorable Jesus Domingo, Labor Attache – Mr. Manuel Imson, Pag-IBIG Representative Ms. Rosie Sauter and the Filipino community leaders from the different cities of Switzerland.

I-Remit was recognized during the event, as presented on stage by it`s Managing Director for United Kingdom, Ms. Robbylyn So, while having the privilege of sharing the presidential table with the top officials of the Philippine Embassy in Switzerland.
