And we thought our Independence Day was just celebrated here in the Philippines. Last June 12, 2005, Philippine Indepence day was celebrated at Morden Park in UK. You would think Morden Park was located in the Philippines with the fiesta-type ambiance it had. There were around 85 stalls with different services offered----food, grocery, travel and of course, remittance. Approximately 7,000 people attended this fun filled celebration. The event was kicked off with a mass. Other activities included a Santacruzan parade, raffle, song and dance numbers and a special number from Piolo Pascual.

Iremit was visibly present with its colorful booth and friendly staff. Present in the event was Iremit Uk’s Marketing team—Hazel Atienza, Jolly Espaldon, Angelo Beltran and Donna Casipit. It was a good opportunity for the team to meet old and new clients. The staff accepted Visa Electron Card openings, queries and even SSS payments. Clients were excited to avail of our many services that day with all the various freebies offered for each transaction.

It was truly a memorable celebration for all our kababayans to converge and enjoy the fiesta atmosphere as they celebrate as one our Independence Day.
